When in View Menu. if you are subscribed to the Budgets module, you will see two radio buttons:

 

  • Show cost per serve
  • Show cost per Resident per day



The show cost per serve displays the recipe cost per serve for each item in your menu.


When you click the show cost per Resident per Day button, the cost for each day is displayed on your menu, as shown below:



The Weekly average cost is also displayed on your menu:


Cost per Resident per Day calculation:


Click on the cog icon to open up the Cost per Resident per Day Settings:


The show cost per Resident per Day is calculated one of two ways -either Choice 1 or Percentage.

 

 

Choice 1 – this is the default. 

  • The checkboxes displayed are the first option for each menu course per meal service.
  • All checkboxes are ticked by default. 
  • The calculation adds up each cost per serve of the items selected, and displays the 'Cost per Resident per Day' under the Week Day.
  • Untick any of the checkboxes you do not want included in the calculation (if any) then click Save.

 

Percentage

 

  • Each meal service, course and choice from the menu is displayed in the table format.
  • Percentages for each Course need to total 100%.
  • The calculation adds the cost per choice based on %, for example Lunch Main =60%[Choice1 cost]+25%[Choice 2 cost]+15%[Choice 3 cost], and displays the 'Cost per Resident per Day' under the Week Day.
  • Enter the percentages, as desired, then click Save.

 

The Weekly average ($) is a summary of the Week day ($) totals for the selected week, divided by 7.
