Menu Data:

Each Menu Course (e.g. Entrée, Soup, Main, Vegetable, Drinks, Dessert etc) is broken down into sections in the form. See below for some examples of this occurring at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

The report is based solely on the meal choices in the Active or Planning menu. No breakfast information is taken from the resident profile or dietary settings. This means that all Breakfast selections need to be built into the menu, along with all selections for Lunch and Dinner.

Currently the report is designed to print all 3 meal services per resident, there is no ability to select only certain meal services.

The report can be printed for a date range or one particular day.

Additional Information

Meal Blocking:

If there is a resident/patient that has an Allergen, Dietary Restriction, Food Texture or Special Diet and certain meals are not appropriate for that person, they will not appear on the printed form. This does not occur on the blank form. It is the responsibility of the person filling in the form to have an understanding of the resident/patients dietary requirements and to make the appropriate choices.

“OR” Cases:

In some areas of the order form there is an OR after a recipe/menu item. These OR’s are related to the Menu Course (e.g. Soup, Main, Vegetables etc). If the following menu courses are used, then an OR will follow the first item if there is subsequent items:

  • Dessert
  • Drinks
  • Entree
  • Fruit
  • Juice
  • Light Meals
  • Soup
